Clarivel Ruiz // Youth Programs clarivel@dctvny.org Likes: Thrift Shopping, Pumpkin Ice Cream Dislikes: Anger, Snoring Clarivel Ruiz is a first generation Dominican American. She received her Masters degree in Fine Arts from the City College University of New York where she wrote, produced, directed and edited "Bag of Chips" a comedy about destructive relationships, which was shown at the Anthology in their November 2002 showcase. Her screenplays were accepted into the second rounds of the 2004 Sundance screenwriters' workshop and the 2003 Fade In screenwriters' contest. She's producing a feature documentary called "Gimme Five: History of a Handshake." She's also produced, directed and acted in a short called "Lover's Dream" about a woman's repressed sexuality and is working on her first feature narrative "4 Parts."
