Rubin Polizzi //PRO TV Instructor One day in 1998, Rubin Polizzi walked into DCTV hoping that he would get an internship to learn about computers. A few months later, he was put into DCTV’s Pro-TV program where he learnt media production from his mentors Brent and Craig Renaud, Jon Alpert, Kekio Tsuno, and many others staff members. After working with DCTV for 2 years, Rubin got the opportunity to travel abroad to India where he produced his first award-winning piece: DIL SE (FROM THE HEART). When Rubin finished with DIL SE, he went on to host the Emmy Award Winning show - ACCESS DEMOCRACY: SMACK DOWN YOUR VOTE. After the show, Rubin left DCTV to work with Manhattan Neighborhood Network’s youth channel as a media instructor and Vice President of their board or directors. In 2002, Rubin became head of Video Production for PUMP (People Using Media to do Prevention). In 2005, Rubin got a call from his old mentors - the Renaud Brothers - and started working on their award winning T.V series OFF TO WAR and also helped with Baghdad ER which won four Emmys. He has also worked for Major League Baseball as a highlight editor. |
