Founded in 1972, DCTV is a 16-time Emmy Award winning, Academy Award nominated media arts center that fosters independent voices by providing professional media training and state-of-the-industry resources, and by creating and exhibiting outstanding documentary film productions, with the belief that diversity of expression strengthens our democracy and enhances civil society.
DCTV seeks a smart, agile Office Manager with at least 2 years experience to join our creative team of 20 staff people.
Candidate must have a Bachelors degree and proficiency using Quickbooks. Work in the arts and/or non-profit management, a plus. Understanding of accounting principles and professional film production administration a plus. SalesForce or other CRM experience a plus.
Office Management/Administration: Serves as administrator for SalesForce CRM system • Analyzes, designs, implements and monitors office policies and internal processes to maximize and continually improve operational efficiency (recordkeeping, filing systems, etc.) • Ensures that all shared office resources are available, organized and properly functioning and coordinates office-related projects as needed • Manages Office Technology: procures, repairs or issues repair requests, maintains office assets/equipment: printers, fax, copiers, mail machine, etc. • Provides back-up support to Managing Director and Executives and coordinates special projects as assigned by the Managing Director • Monitors/maintains/procures office supplies • Archives documents/general files
Finance: Accounts payable: prepares, reviews and tracks all invoices and expense, and reconciles corporate bank accounts and credit cards using Quickbooks for Mac • Accounts receivable: processes all AR and annual invoicing • Process Bi-Monthly payroll through ADP • Prepares audit requests and supports management throughout the yearly audit process • Proactively monitors office expenses and negotiates vendor contracts • Assists with IRS 990, 1099 and w-2 filing • Updates and manages legal docs: w-9s, conflict of interest policy/forms, IRS determination letter, etc.
Film Productions: Maintains production accounts and cost reports • Manages fiscal sponsoree contracts and payments
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of office management experience, including familiarity with Quickbooks, basic accounting principles and financial reports • Arts Management or Accounting degree a plus • Salesforce experience a plus • Commitment to excellence and high level of accuracy, with an ability to manage multiple, competing priorities with flexibility when priorities change • Proactive, mature self-starter with proven time and stress management skills • Strong technological savvy, with specific expertise in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and managing data • Excellent writing, analytical, and problem solving skills and uncompromising regard for confidentiality • Engaging presence with diplomacy, tact and decorum suitable for working with senior executives, coupled with high level of initiative and solutions-oriented attitude • Impeccable interpersonal and teambuilding skills • Demonstrated commitment to DCTV's mission and objectives • A sense of humor, a positive can-do attitude, and the humility to regularly incorporate the feedback of others into work processes
Compensation: Commensurate with experience. This position is full-time with a generous benefits package including medical insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications: All applicants must be working professionals with teaching experience, able to give our students an in-depth introduction to the industry’s leading software and technology. Applicants without any teaching experience will not be considered.
