Free Screening of El Espiritu de la Salsa

The New York International Latino Film Festival and ImageNation present a free outdoor screening of a new HBO documentary, El Espiritu de la Salsa (The Spirit of Salsa)! DCTV filmmakers Jon Alpert and Matt O'Neill, along with Francisco Bello and Timothy Sternberg, follow lonely hearts from all over New York City as they come together in Spanish Harlem once a week at Santo Rico Dance School to let loose, dance and connect while learning the rich art of salsa. Under the tutelage of renowned teacher Tomas Guerrero they have only six weeks to rehearse for a public performance.

The screening is taking place Monday, 7/26 (rain date: Mon 8/2) at 8:30pm at St. Nicholas Park (map).
