Youth Media x Student Protest

December 3rd, 2019

The critical conversations of our time—immigration, sexual harassment, mass incarceration—play out in the lives of New York City’s teens and young adults.

DCTV Youth Media filmmaker, Shania, has developed a viewpoint that is uniquely her own. From short films on mental health, toxic masculinity and contemporary womanhood, she has the power to put social change in motion.

"The issues that matter most aren’t always featured in the media. I want problems like mental health and reproductive rights to be heard. I learned how to tell these stories at DCTV.”
    – Shania, DCTV Youth Media student

We are proud to support Shania and young advocates like her through DCTV Youth Media. You can help us reach 150+ aspiring young filmmakers with FREE, in-depth training and mentorship, and 650+ students whose schools and community centers include DCTV as part of their curriculum.

Help NYC teens contribute their vantage point to a global conversation. Your gift will be matched up to $100,000 by DCTV’s generous board member, Pierre Bastid!

Thank you for your support!
