COVID-19: Updates + Resources

#

DCTV is physically closed until further notice, with many programs now online.

As many of you know, we pride ourselves on having a space in NYC – a beautiful brick-and-mortar space that brings people together to learn, engage, and support one another. We also pride ourselves on providing hands-on learning with all equipment, computers, and software included; having filmmakers present their films you may not be able to see otherwise; having youth from across the city jointly create work from their own invaluable unique perspectives. We are trying to adapt all of these wonderful things into an online space, and sincerely appreciate your enthusiasm and patience as we do that. ♡ Here’s our latest:

DCTV Presents:
While we can't currently gather in person, you can check out our programming virtually, and watch:

  • new documentary films in our Virtual Cinema
  • classic DCTV documentaries on our Vimeo On Demand
  • Discussions and Q&As you may have missed
  • DCTV Playlists

  • DCTV Workshops:
You can continue to learn filmmaking from home! Check out our Online Workshops and Office Hours. To support our community during this time, we have reduced all prices, and we are offering Office Hours for free to DCTV Members. Let us know what other online offerings would be most helpful to you right now by filling out this brief survey: https://bit.ly/2wmwQFp.

    DCTV Youth Media:
Our youth programs have also pivoted to remote learning: meeting online, participating in special masterclasses, and creating personal video diaries of their lives under quarantine. If you have a NYC student 14-21 years of age in your life, check out our Youth Media programs and have them take part!

    Free/Discounted Software:
We have been compiling a growing list of free or discounted software, from open source to limited license periods. Check out these Software Resources!
