Remembering Corky Lee

Corky Lee, the de facto photographer of Chinatown, passed away January 27, 2021. A community hero, he was at every neighborhood event – big or small – documenting important struggles and intimate moments with a sharp eye, sharp focus, courage, honesty, and kindness. He was a good friend to our organization, and a personal friend of DCTV’s Co-Founders, Jon Alpert and Keiko Tsuno, for over 50 years. His photos are our community’s historical record and legacy. His life is our inspiration.
