Recent Funding News & Gratitude

November 22, 2021

DCTV was recently awarded a MAAF (Media Arts Assistance Fund) Forward Fund grant to support professional development for our staff. We are excited to learn about techniques and best practices for data collection and analysis, which will help our staff learn more about our programs, our community, and how we can do what we do—only better! This project is made possible with funds from the NYSCA Electronic Media/Film in Partnership with Wave Farm: MAAF Forward Fund, with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature. Thank you, NYSCA and Wave Farm!

DCTV would like to thank the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs for their continued support of our programs, including youth media, continuing education, and exhibition. We are so proud to be a part of the New York City cultural community, and renewed funding from our NYC DCLA, as well as Council Member Margaret Chin, will help us continue bringing our film programs to New Yorkers in 2022. Thank you, Commissioner Casals, NYC DCLA and Council Member Chin!

On behalf of DCTV Youth Media, we would like to thank Samuel Rubin Foundation for continuing to support our free filmmaking programs for teens and young adults in NYC, as well as The Charles Hayden Foundation, whose support of DCTV Youth Media has sustained our programs for many years. Thank you to both of these funders for such a wonderful vote of confidence.
