As part of an international reporting assignment, Helen Cho visited remote sections of Mexico during the summer of 2003, where she captured the lives of indigenous people, including include a family living on an island completely isolated from Mexican society, a young girl with no education who processes corn for a living, and families who have been making tortillas and pottery all their lives.
