The Changing Same

Directed by Michele Stephenson and Joe Brewster
In the Florida Panhandle lies the town of Marianna, Florida where one resident runs a particular marathon in hopes to lift the veil of racial terror caused by the towns buried history.

Reluctantly Queer

Directed by Akosua Adoma Owusu
This epistolary short film invites us into the unsettling life of a young Ghanaian man struggling to reconcile his love for his mother with his love for same-sex desire amid the increased tensions incited by same-sex politics in Ghana.


Directed by Crystal Kayiza
Revealing the deeply personal truths of three local residents of the titular county, a predominantly African-American agricultural community in eastern North Carolina, Edgecombe is an examination of the ways trauma repeats and reinvents itself in rural Black communities.
