On the evening of its broadcast premiere, DCTV will host the NY Premiere of its Academy Award nominated short documentary, Redemption.

Redemption follows the growing army of canners in New York City whose treasures are in the trash. You see them on almost every street corner in America’s richest city – thousands of jobless New Yorkers combing through the garbage, scooping through the slime for empty bottles and cans. Each discarded container is worth five cents at the redemption center.
