Young Women of Cinema Screening

Fri, 11/04/2016 - 7:00pm
DCTV, 87 Lafayette Street, NYC

Doors Open: 6:00PM

DCTV’s PRO-TV is proud to shine the spotlight on culminating works from a dynamic group of emerging media professionals in our Young Women of Cinema (YWoC) program!

We invite you to join us for our first annual YWoC film screening. The evening's exhibition is a celebration of works that run the gamut of storytelling from web series pilots, to documentaries, narrative shorts, and more. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A with the artists discussing their films, experiences in the program, and next steps in their creative journeys.

The Young Women of Cinema (YWoC) program provides professional development for young women media makers in film, television, and web content production. During the six month intensive, the participants receive lessons in media literacy, industry preparedness, meet with media professional guest speakers, and workshop individual media productions with the support of a woman teaching artist who is currently active in the industry.

Young Women of Cinema has been made possible by the support from our kind Kickstarter backers!

Special thanks to: Debbie McLeod, Beth M. Alonso, Chandra Jessee, Stan Lake, and Jane Martinez.

Admission is free! RSVP to PRO-TV at
