Adam Barton

Adam Barton is a documentary filmmaker, editor and digital content specialist. He recently directed, produced and edited a 2-hour drug special for the History Channel and helped premier Kumaré – a feature documentary that he co-produced and edited – which won the audience award at the SXSW film fest. Adam edited the Oscar and Emmy nominated DCTV/HBO film, China’s Unnatural Disaster and has worked as an editor and shooter for several other projects directed by 15-time Emmy award winner Jon Alpert and his producing partner Matthew O’Neill. His work has been featured on History Channel, HBO, ESPN, ESPN2, Current TV, IFC.com, Puma.com, Yahoo.com, MSN.com, Superdelux.com, CharlieRose.com, UniversalMusic.com, Hutchinson.com, Vibe.com, Travel+Leisure.com and at festivals such as SXSW, HotDocs, The New York Television Festival, Woodstock International Film Fest, the International Bicycle Film Festival and at the MOMA. He has also worked as a freelance producer for Ogilvy and Mather and WebMD and has taught at Columbia University, and as a guest lecturer at The New School.
