Adella has 12 years of experience working in the independent film industry. She began her career working for documentary distributor Icarus Films before moving on to work at Zohe Films for filmmaker Jennifer Fox. While there, Adella produced Fox's documentary mini-series Flying: Confessions of a Free Woman (aired on Sundance Channel and BBC Storyville 2008) as well as Fox’s feature doc My Reincarnation (aired on PBS's POV 2012 and nominated for an Emmy 2013). She also worked for Emmy-Award winning filmmaker Anne Aghion, producing her feature doc My Neighbor, My Killer (premiered at Cannes and nominated for a Gotham 2009).

Adella then spent six years (2009 – 2014) as the Grants Manager at Cinereach, a NY-based non-profit film production company and foundation, supporting the development and production of dozens of award-winning films. Most recently, she was a screener and consulting programmer for the Tribeca & LA Film Festivals. Adella has served on the jury at the SilverDocs (now AFI Docs) and DOCNYC Film Festivals. She has been invited to evaluate funding applications for other film organizations including ITVS Open Call, Chicken and Egg Pictures Open Call, Catapult Film Fund and the IDFA Forum and was a nominator for USA Fellows.

She is currently working on a fiction feature film called Icaros: a vision (in post-production). Adella is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
