Josef Shafer is a Brooklyn and Vermont based video engineer and camera guy. He has worked on everything from reality shows to music videos to feature films.

Starting off in the late-90's making snowboarding videos in New England, he has gone on to work for several BBC projects, and served as the technical director for Rooftop Films and the Oakland Underground Film Festival. He even line produced a zombie movie!

Joe is also a co-founder of Nine37 Productions, an artist collective dedicated to making the unseen seen and the unheard heard, whose 13 year run has helped emerging artists exhibit their films, paintings and music, throughout the Northeast and west coast.

In 2007, Joe traveled to the deserts of Pakistan to work as the DIT/AC on the Urdu language film Ramchand Pakistani, which went on to win several awards and screened at countless film festivals. Most notably, it won the Audience Choice Award at the New Delhi Film Festival and had its US premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2008.

Since then, Joe made his way out to San Francisco for a few years, serving as the camera and post-production tech for a production house, but is now back in Brooklyn with his soon-to-be-wife.
