Julie is a documentary filmmaker and editor based in New York City. She has worked on 10 feature documentary films in various roles, including director of photography, editor, assistant editor, and sound. She was an active member of the Occupy Wall Street Media Team, and has worked on promotional videos for corporate and non-profit clients, and continues to make videos for various grassroots causes in her spare time. She is currently working on the feature documentary, Bread Head, which follows a woman with dementia, and her son, as they fight the disease with innovative therapies and intervention strategies. Education has always been a passion, Julie seeks out opportunities to share her knowledge of filmmaking, editing and media literacy to people of all ages. She recently led a workshop for middle school girls in media literacy and filmmaking for the Hispanic Family Services Coalition
