Final Cut Pro

Apple’s Final Cut Pro X is a powerful, self-contained editing software that is popular among budding to professional editors. Learn basic system setup, how to create user profiles, navigate its visual interface, import media files, sync and modify sound, and create titles. This workshop provides the foundational knowledge to start editing in Final Cut.

This is a Post-Production workshop at the Fundamentals level.

  • FCP Workspace
  • Magnetic Timeline
  • Import and Organize Media
  • Keywords and Events
  • Assemble and Refine a Sample Cut
  • Video Transitions and Effects
  • Audio Tools
  • Titles, Generators, and Themes
  • Exporting and Sharing Your Project

Capacity: 6 students | Duration: 12 hrs

Materials: All you need to bring is yourself! Each student will be equipped with a 27-inch iMac with 5K retina display running Final Cut Pro X 10.2.3. Personal equipment is not permitted.

All DCTV Workshops have limited enrollment and require registration in advance. By registering you verify you have basic Mac OS X literacy and have read and agree to our Workshops Policies.
