One must look behind in order to look ahead. In this workshop, deepen your understanding of the documentary craft by gaining a greater context of its evolution. By watching and discussing pivotal work, learn about various pioneers that pushed and shaped the boundaries of the documentary genre into what it is today. See its influence on contemporary filmmakers and how the documentary form continues to evolve and inform your own practice. This workshop includes some independent readings and screenings.

Materials: All you need to bring is yourself! This workshop will offer invaluable knowledge from a working professional in a discussion setting.
