Audio Storytelling: Podcasts and Soundscapes

$300 DCTV Members // $350 Non-Members

Give your eyes a break and create non-fiction audio. Audio stories can take on different formats from journalism to documentary, and podcasts to experimental stories. Add to your foundation of audio production and post-production skills by planning, recording and editing aural material such as interviews, field recordings and sound effects to make your own imageless story.

This is a First Frame to Final Cut workshop in which you create original work.

Topics include:

  • Differences between Podcasting, Radio, and other Audio Stories
  • Story Development
  • Interviewing Options
  • Ambient Sound and Sound Sources
  • Preparing for Recording Sessions

  • Assembling a Story
  • Exporting for Web
