Christina Gomez

Christina Gomez started dancing at the age of 7 in Boston Massachusetts. She began at the Boston Ballet where she remained throughout her elementary and high school years. During this time, she starred in various plays, competed in drama clubs, and organized talent shows. Her ambition to dance led her to audition at The Ailey School in New York City where she studied for three years. Her commitment to both youth and the performing arts has led her to work for several years with KR3T’s dance company in Harlem, with youth ages 8 - 18.
While maintaining inspired in the performing arts industry she wanted a new challenge and decided to write and direct her own short film. She produced a 9 minute short Destiny in May of 2004. Smitten with film production, Christina decided to fully pursue a career in media and film. She worked on several movie sets, both independent and big budget, as a set PA. She has also worked on different TV networks such as HGTV, Fine Living, A&E, History Channel and DIY as a coordinator, shooter, post coordinator and now has fully emerged in post production as a junior assistant editor. She is a member of the Motion Picture Editor’s Guild. Now working at DCTV, Christina instructs high schoolers in documentary production. While keeping herself grounded, Christina has pursued her goals and pushed herself to the limit. Christina is currently working on a script for a feature documentary.
