Young Men Of Color Media Group

Media Literacy Program

DCTV’s Young Men of Color Program (YMoC) is a media literacy group aimed to develop more positive reflections of young men of color. YMoC participants engage in candid conversations about the representation of young men of color in television, movies, music and news media. Students study media literacy, media production, and investigate, take ownership of and recreate images of their own lives. We strive to create a safe space for men and their peers to feel comfortable discussing issues they face in the job market, in education, and social lives.
