Media Literacy Workshops



In our stand-alone media literacy workshops, teaching artists and peer educators screen selections of youth-made media on a variety of topics, leading discussions around the issues presented – such as gun violence, body image, immigration, homelessness, relationships, and more – while helping students cultivate critical viewing and media literacy skills. When possible, these workshops are co-facilitated by a PRO-TV student filmmaker.
Who: NYC students, grades 6-12
Where: Your School or Community Center
When: Monday-Friday, During or After School
Length: 45 - 90 Minutes
